Lead Web Developer (PHP)

Open Organize seeks a qualified PHP and frontend web developer to serve as the project lead for two ambitious, Web 2.0-enabled progressive websites focused on combating poverty and accelerating solutions to global climate change.
The Lead Web Developer will work collaboratively with clients, graphic designers, and coders to define and execute all aspects of website development plans.

Candidates must have a passion for building web applications that create positive social and environmental change. The ideal candidate will combine strong programming skills with good personal skills and awareness of global development and environmental challenges.
Open Organize would prefer to hire a full-time employee to fill this position, but is prepared to hire a well-qualified candidate on a part-time or contractual basis.
Responsiblities
- Work directly with clients and stakeholders to create website development plans that integrate a variety of database, web service, AJAX, and web design technologies
- Build out websites in a collaborative programming environment
- Manage staff and volunteer programmers, and graphic designers
- Support and maintain client websites
- Analyze and report on website statistics and other key performance indicators
Qualifications
- Strong PHP skills, with demonstrated experience building web applications
- Strong web design skills, including CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX frameworks
- Experience managing programmers and graphic designers
- Experience working with Expression Engine (CMS)
- Experience working in an agile development environment
